Javar Williams Game Report: vs Arete Prep

Even if Santa Cruz Valley couldn't beat Arete Prep on Friday, underclassman Javar Williams still had a big game. Williams was excellent, going 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to 12 rebounds and five steals. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 steals per game. Santa Cruz Valley is 4-1 when Williams posts three or more steals, but 1-3 otherwise.

Williams and Santa Cruz Valley will take on San Miguel in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Williams' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped Santa Cruz Valley's three-game streak of wins at home.
