Fort Payne's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-17. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gadsden City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-26 record this season.
