Soccer Recap: Ysleta Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Ysleta kept a clean sheet against Irvin on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Irvin Rockets. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Leylany Zambrano and Sophia Molina scored both of Ysleta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Ysleta is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven matchups. Irvin dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Ysleta will host Harmony Science Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Irvin, they are taking a road trip to take on Austin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
