Volleyball Game Preview: Farmington River Hawks vs. Glastonbury Guardians

The Farmington River Hawks will head out to face off against the Glastonbury Guardians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Farmington didn't have quite enough to beat Enfield and fell 3-2. The game marked the River Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glastonbury, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Windsor on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Glastonbury's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Having lost for the first time this season, Farmington fell to 4-1. As for Glastonbury, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Farmington beat Glastonbury 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the River Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
