Basketball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-32 loss at the hands of the Grundy Center Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Spartans are ranked sixth).

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Grundy Center, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hudson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-41 victory against Columbus on the 14th. As for Grundy Center, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-37 win against AGWSR on the 14th.
