Volleyball Recap: Etiwanda Eagles vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

Etiwanda was the 3-0 winner over Los Osos when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Etiwanda was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Los Osos work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Nina Hemsley paced Etiwanda's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hemsley got some help from Kamryn Andrews and her 13 assists. Finally, Kaila Nassar kept Etiwanda's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Los Osos got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josslyn Jacks out in front who had 19 kills and 12 digs. That's the most kills Jacks has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Chloe Taylor, who had 11 kills, nine digs, and three blocks.

Etiwanda's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Los Osos, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
