Football Game Preview: Spring Valley Vikings vs. Ridge View Blazers

The Spring Valley Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Ridge View Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Valley's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Valley's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Blythewood on Friday. They took a blow against the Bengals, falling 46-0.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Ridge View, as they earned their first away win of the season. They claimed a resounding 46-8 victory over Westwood. With the Blazers ahead 32-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Spring Valley better keep an eye on Spencer Bobian. He was instrumental in Ridge View's win, rushing for 201 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Bobian is now averaging an impressive 119.8 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Ryan Williams, who rushed for 64 yards and two scores on only six carries.

Ridge View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Ridge View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Spring Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Spring Valley was dealt a bruising 55-14 defeat at the hands of Ridge View when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
