Baseball Recap: Windham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bristol on Saturday, Windham came back down to earth. The Bombers fell 18-14 to the Panthers on Saturday. The Bombers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Windham has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Bristol, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Windham will head out to take on Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Bristol, they will square off against Badger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
