Baseball Game Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Johnston City Indians

The Flora Wolves will challenge the Johnston City Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Flora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Flora proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Hamilton County.

Johnston City had taken Trico down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 4-3. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Flora pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Johnston City, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Flora might still be hurting after the 15-8 defeat they got from Johnston City in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
