Baseball Game Preview: Avenal Buccaneers vs. Coalinga Horned Toads

Avenal hasn't had much luck against Coalinga recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Buccaneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Horned Toads at 4:00 p.m. Avenal has given up an average of 22.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Avenal is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They lost 30-0 to Dos Palos.

The Horned Toads were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Eagles. The Horned Toads' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Coalinga and bumps their season record up to 6-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Avenal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
