Basketball Recap: Issiah Dibella's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Bend over Junction City

North Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Junction City Tigers. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 60-52 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Bend lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Issiah Dibella, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Conner Johnson, who put up seven points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

North Bend's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Junction City, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

North Bend wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-42 win against Estacada on the 23rd. As for Junction City, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madras at 1:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
