Volleyball Recap: Berry Comes Up Short

If Berry was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Harding University on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals lost 3-0 to the Central Cabarrus Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-13.

Berry has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Central Cabarrus, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Berry will challenge rival Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus is set to square off against their familiar foe West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
