Volleyball Recap: Pecos Eagles vs. Permian Panthers

Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Permian Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-5, 25-11.

Jerykah Velasquez paced Pecos' offense, picking up three kills. Velasquez got some help from Brooke Garcia and her five assists.

Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Permian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Pecos will be playing in front of their home fans against Wink at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Permian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
