Basketball Recap: Inola Comes Up Short

If Inola was riding high fresh off their 62-41 takedown of Cushing last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Inola Longhorns came up short against the Stilwell Indians on Saturday, falling 62-39. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 52-45.

Stilwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kate Wilson, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Ava Swafford was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight boards and five assists.

Inola now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Stilwell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-14.

Inola has already played their next game (against Adair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Stilwell has already played their next contest, a 59-29 victory against Poteau on the 28th.
