Softball Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gainesville Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bears have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Conway's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Gainesville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Conway and Gainesville will both be playing Sparta the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
