Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. North Henderson Knights

The Franklin Panthers will face off against the North Henderson Knights at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Franklin comes in on seven and North Henderson on three.

Last Friday, Franklin didn't have too much trouble with Tuscola as they won 69-54. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Mountaineers are ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin relied on the efforts of Jack Jack Teesateskie, who went 10-for-21 on his way to 25 points and five steals, and Max McClure, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 20 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, McClure now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage. William Rauers was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, North Henderson beat West Henderson 53-40 on Thursday.

Franklin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.8 points. As for North Henderson, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.

Franklin was able to grind out a solid victory over North Henderson in their previous meeting back in January, winning 55-43. Will Franklin repeat their success, or does North Henderson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
