Carroll has gone 9-1 against Huntington North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Chargers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Vikings  at 10:00  a.m. Carroll is coming into the  matchup on  a  five-game losing streak.
Carroll fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Homestead  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of  8-6.
 Logan Inman was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Jaxon Sparks was cooking despite his team's loss,   firing off two  home runs and three  RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaxon Craker, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Meanwhile, Huntington North got themselves on the board against Southwood on Friday, but Southwood never followed suit. They were the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over the Knights.
 Huntington North is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Carroll, they now  have a losing record of 10-11.
 Everything went Carroll's way against Huntington North in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, as Carroll made off with  a  12-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
