Last week's NFL Draft saw 33 former Texas high school football
players selected, enhancing the Lone Star State's reputation as one of
the nation's leading gridiron pipelines.
Since 2001, 55 different
schools in Texas have produced at least three NFL Draft picks and
11 schools have seen at least five former players picked.

20 years, headlined by DeSoto's total of 11 picks. DeSoto's run started with Marcus Tubbs and Tatum Bell in 2004 and has stretched all the way to 2020 with two picks, Laviska Shenault, drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round, and James Proche, picked by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round.
