Baseball Game Preview: Coolidge Bears vs. Ray Bearcats

The Coolidge Bears will head out to face off against the Ray Bearcats at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Coolidge is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Coolidge lost 13-4 to Globe on Friday.

Jaden Valenzuela made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.

Meanwhile, Ray suffered their closest loss since April 19, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Mogollon by a score of 6-4. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jesse James was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. James Ruiz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Ray's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Coolidge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
