Basketball Recap: Herington Falls Despite Big Games from Leslyn Kremeier and Harley Larosa

Herington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to the Lyndon Tigers on the road by a 52-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Tigers are ranked 97th).

Harley Larosa and Leslyn Kremeier certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Larosa to rack up 13 points, while Kremeier posted 13 points. What's more, Larosa also posted a 56% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

Herington's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Lyndon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Herington will be taking part in a tournament against Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eureka's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. Lyndon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
