Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Lions vs. Altamont Indians

The Marshall Lions will head out to face off against the Altamont Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Marshall's tournament run continued when they took on Shakamak on Saturday. The contest between Marshall and Shakamak didn't end well, with Marshall falling 58-41.

Meanwhile, Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-63 heartbreaker at the hands of Hillsboro. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Indians still had to take the loss.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Marshall came up short against Altamont in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 56-51. Thankfully for Marshall, Eli Miller (who posted 16 points along with eight boards and six assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
