Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Hawks vs. Webster Groves Statesmen

While Hillsboro put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Webster Groves. The Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Statesmen. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 7-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Easton Day, who gave up just five hits to keep Webster Groves off the board. Day has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
