Basketball Recap: Memorial Comes Up Short

Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 55-40 bruising from the Enid Plainsmen. The matchup was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but the Chargers couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Memorial still got an impressive performance from Mataya Hall, who posted 24 points along with six steals and five assists.

Even though they lost, Memorial smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Enid, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial and Tahlequah will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Enid, they will welcome Northwest Classen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
