Volleyball Recap: Shawano Community Comes Up Short

If Shawano Community was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of New London on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Seymour Thunder on Thursday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-20.

Natalie Bystol paced Shawano Community's offense, picking up 23 kills. Bystol got some help from Julia Stuber and her 15 assists.

Shawano Community's defeat dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Seymour, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-17.

Shawano Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Pewaukee on the 18th. As for Seymour, they will face off against New London at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunder are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
