Softball Recap: Othello Takes a Loss

Othello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Selah Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 10-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Othello saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evony Gomez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Othello's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Selah, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Othello by a score of 13-0 later that day.
