Basketball Recap: Hanover Skates Past Mechanicsville with Ease

Hanover waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Mechanicsville Mustangs 62-25. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Mechanicsville's loss came despite strong showings from Madeline Frantz and Kate Carlton. Frantz went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points and three steals, while Carlton posted six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Hanover is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Mechanicsville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Hanover will challenge Atlee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mechanicsville, they will face off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
