Soccer Game Preview: Troy-Buchanan vs. Fort Zumwalt North

The Troy-Buchanan Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Troy-Buchanan came up short against Timberland on Tuesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Troy-Buchanan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Timberland are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Fort Zumwalt North kept a clean sheet against Liberty on Tuesday. They beat the Eagles by a goal, winning 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Fort Zumwalt North.

Fort Zumwalt North's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Troy-Buchanan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Troy-Buchanan couldn't quite get it done against Fort Zumwalt North in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
