Basketball Recap: Harrison Central Comes Up Short

Harrison Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the D'Iberville Warriors. While the Red Rebels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 13-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Harrison Central still got an impressive performance from Nehemiah Barnett, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Barnett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordon Beard, who had eight points.

Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for D'Iberville, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 12-3.

Harrison Central will take on Ocean Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for D'Iberville, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Martin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. D'Iberville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
