Soccer Game Preview: Emery vs. Ogden

The Emery Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Ogden Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Emery is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Providence Hall 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Emery as it put an end to their 15-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ogden put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Morgan 3-0. Ogden might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Gerardo Esquivel and Jace Rodriguez scored all three of Ogden's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Ogden pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Emery, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-16.
