Basketball Game Preview: Battle Mountain Longhorns vs. Lowry Buckaroos

The Battle Mountain Longhorns will venture away from home to face off against the Lowry Buckaroos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Battle Mountain blew past Coral Academy of Science - Reno, posting a 65-17 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Battle Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brodie Smith, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Geovanni Ruvalcaba, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Lowry was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 58-57 to North Valleys. The Buckaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Battle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lowry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
