Football Game Preview: New Braunfels Unicorns vs. Smithson Valley Rangers + How To Watch

New Braunfels is 0-10 against Smithson Valley since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Unicorns will challenge the Rangers. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as New Braunfels comes in on five and Smithson Valley on 11.

New Braunfels is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Boerne-Champion by a score of 41-31.

LEVI GOLLA continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 331 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 99 yards and one TD. Those 331 passing yards gave him a new career-high. New Braunfels' leading receiver CAMERON PITTS was GOLLA's top target yet again, picking up 204 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Smithson Valley didn't have too much trouble with Pieper on Friday as they won 30-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rangers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Warriors are ranked 126th).

New Braunfels' win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Smithson Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

New Braunfels couldn't quite get it done against Smithson Valley in their previous meeting back in October as they fell 27-14. Can the Unicorns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
