Football Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Derby's offense. They had to suffer through a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Wolcott Eagles. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 38-6 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Derby dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wolcott, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Derby wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 37-36 win against Kennedy on the 11th. As for Wolcott, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-20 loss against Seymour on the 10th.
