Basketball Recap: Cook Inlet Academy Piles Up the Points Against Nikiski

There's no place like home for Cook Inlet Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by the Nikiski Bulldogs to the tune of 86-39 on Tuesday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Cook Inlet Academy was led to victory by Alek McGarry and Ian McGarry. Alek posted 33 points, while Ian put up 23 points. The contest was Ian's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandt Rollman, who earned 11 points.

Cook Inlet Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Nikiski, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cook Inlet Academy has already played their next game (against Holy Rosary Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nikiski will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kenai Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
