Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn Comes Up Short

Elkhorn lost against Westosha Central back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elks fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. While the Elks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-19 in the first set.

Elkhorn actually scored more points across those five sets (104-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 29-27, 11-25, 25-20, 15-7.

Elkhorn has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Westosha Central, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn will host Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westosha Central, they will take on Arrowhead in a tournament on Friday.
