Veterans' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Baughier, who had nine assists and four digs. What's more, Baughier posted two kills, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Piper Seaman was another key player, getting ten digs and two assists.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thomas County Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Crisp County by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Thomas County Central easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-6.
Thomas County Central's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Veterans, their victory bumped their record up to 20-10.
