Basketball Game Preview: Rangeview Raiders vs. Vista PEAK Prep Bison

Two dominant forwards in Maddie Kilmer and Knakai Starks are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rangeview Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Vista PEAK Prep Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rangeview came up short against Denver East on Wednesday, falling 54-32. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Angels: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Vista PEAK Prep earned a 72-65 win over Northfield on Friday.

Rangeview better keep an eye on Starks. She was instrumental in Vista PEAK Prep's win, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Starks is becoming a predictor of Vista PEAK Prep's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 6-3 (and 1-8 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Amaya Nance, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Vista PEAK Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up six more assists than Northfield's also-impressive total of 12.

Vista PEAK Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Rangeview, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Rangeview came up short against Vista PEAK Prep in their previous matchup back in January, falling 61-54. Can Rangeview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
