Softball Recap: Oblong Panthers vs. St. Elmo Eagles
Oblong waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the St. Elmo Eagles with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Zya Bricker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
