Baseball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Raytown on Wednesday, Belton came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Webb City Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Webb City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Belton nor Webb City have any future games scheduled.
