Football Game Preview: Niles Vikings vs. Three Rivers Wildcats + How To Watch

The Niles Vikings will face off against the Three Rivers Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Niles is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Niles is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Sturgis: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Trojans out of the water with a 48-6 final score. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Meanwhile, Three Rivers was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 28-24 to Vicksburg. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Niles will need to focus on slowing down Mason Awe, one of several Three Rivers players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 64 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Ethan Moreland, who rushed for 151 yards.

Three Rivers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hunter Koenig.

Niles' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Three Rivers, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Niles against Three Rivers in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-6 win. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 49-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
