Basketball Recap: Kailey Bishop Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trumann

On Friday, the Stuttgart Ricebirds were able to grind out a solid victory over the Trumann Wildcats, taking the game 58-51.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stuttgart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kailey Bishop, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Bishop's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Owens, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Stuttgart was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Stuttgart's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Trumann, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Stuttgart has already played their next game (against Lonoke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Trumann is taking a road trip to take on Wynne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
