Basketball Recap: Midland Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Mt. Pleasant typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Midland proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Mt. Pleasant Oilers. Given the Chemics' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Oilers are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midland pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
