Baseball Recap: Braddock's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Braddock won against South Miami last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Braddock Bulldogs beat the Flanagan Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Braddock got a great performance from Jesus Moreno as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Braddock let Manny Sanchez and Brayan Martinez run wild. Sanchez scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most runs Sanchez has posted since back in April of 2024. Adam Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Braddock's record is now 8-1-1. As for Flanagan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Braddock will square off against South Dade at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Flanagan, they will challenge Jupiter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Jupiter: 3, Flanagan: 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
