Soccer Game Preview: Veritas School vs. North Cross

The Veritas School Lions will challenge the North Cross Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Veritas School is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Christchurch School, who was ranked fourth at the time (Veritas School was ranked sixth). The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahorses on Thursday. Veritas School have struggled against Christchurch School recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, North Cross fought the good fight in their overtime match against Fork Union Military Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 5-3 to the Blue Devils.

Veritas School's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for North Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
