Football Recap: Fork Union Military Academy Comes Up Short

Fork Union Military Academy was the 46-34 winner over St. Anne's-Belfield when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils took a blow against the Saints on Friday, falling 51-22. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonah Brent had a dynamite game For St. Anne's-Belfield., rushing for 248 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Brent's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Haden Morris was another key player, throwing for 147 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes.

Fork Union Military Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fork Union Military Academy will take on Prince Edward County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, they will square off against Virginia Episcopal School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
