Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Douglass Astros        
        
		
             Mt. Zion entered their  game against Douglass  on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mt. Zion Bulldogs came up short against  the Douglass Astros, falling  17-7. It was the first time  this season that the Bulldogs let down their fans at home.
  Cristalina Kadree-Small made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with a  home run, a  stolen base, and two  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Lacey Collier, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Mt. Zion was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive  contests.
 Mt. Zion's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-2. As for Douglass, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will face off against Stone Mountain at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mt. Zion is facing Stone Mountain at the right time seeing as Stone Mountain is stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Douglass, they will square off against Riverdale at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams will come into the  matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
