Baseball Game Preview: Scurry-Rosser Wildcats vs. Grand Saline Indians

The Scurry-Rosser Wildcats will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Grand Saline Indians at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Scurry-Rosser is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Frankston on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Grand Saline won against Mount Vernon on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Grand Saline walked away with an 8-3 victory over Jacksonville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Grand Saline now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Scurry-Rosser, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Scurry-Rosser couldn't quite finish off Grand Saline when the teams last played back in April of 2023 and fell 8-6. Can Scurry-Rosser avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
