Basketball Recap: Junction City Drops Season-High Score on Marshfield

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Junction City). They came out on top against the Marshfield Pirates by a score of 56-47 on Saturday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 41-34 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Junction City's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Marshfield, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Junction City will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sisters at 3:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Sisters will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Junction City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marshfield, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Brookings-Harbor at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
