Byers won against Arickaree last Thursday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Byers Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Burlington Cougars 59-29. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Quincy Eacret, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc to rack up 22 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Kaleb Willoughby was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Byers was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burlington only racked up six assists.

Despite the loss, Burlington still got an impressive performance from Thomas Schaal, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Weston Schaal, who posted nine points.

The victory (which was Byers' sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Burlington, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-7.

Byers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-33 loss against Akron on the 7th. As for Burlington, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-30 defeat against Goodland on the 4th.
