Baseball Recap: Agua Fria's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Agua Fria lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Westview, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Owls put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-2 win on Wednesday. The Owls not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th.

Aldo Ohlmaier was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Gomez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Agua Fria kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.6.

Agua Fria's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Westview, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Agua Fria will face off against Peoria at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westview, they will challenge Prescott at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
