Joshua had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They never let the Cleburne Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The game was the first time the Owls have beaten the Yellowjackets on their field since April 27, 2021.

Joshua pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cleburne, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Joshua is set to square off against their familiar foe Mansfield Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cleburne will take on rival Burleson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
